WaveFX
film for RTÉ - Ireland's National Broadcaster
Cambridge
video company WaveFX were busy this week filming at
Downing College for a RTE documentary on the Macular Pigment Research Group based
at the Waterford Institute of Ireland.
The documentary
to air later this year feature scenes filmed in and around the College
including the spectacular Quadrangle, Howard theatre and Maitland Robinson
Library.
Three
notable contributors were interviewed by the WaveFX film crew and Adrian Taplin
producer commented “It is always our primary goal to put the interviewee at
ease ensuring a natural, positive performance that looks great on camera. Our
crews are deliberately small, professional and above all a friendly bunch”
Supporting
footage was also filmed in
and around Cambridge to give the edited documentary context and add interest, this
proved to be an uneasy task when the river Cam was being dredged, the rain had
set in and the college roof was being repaired by a huge crane.
Luckily
the crane moved on in the afternoon, the rain eased off and the film crew
captured all the footage requested by RTE.
